As well as being one of the partners for Village Health Group, Dr Arshad is also a registered GP trainer who helps teach the registrars who come to our practice during their placements. In addition to this, he is also one of the Clinical Leads for our care homes. Dr Neil Fraser GMC Number 6028238 – Male MB ChB, MRCP, DCH, MRCGP. Leicester 2001 Neil joined East Leake Surgery as a GP Partner in 2007, having been to Medical School in Leicester, and working as a junior doctor in hospitals across the Midlands. Since then, he has also worked in commissioning and leadership roles. He became a GP trainer and completed a healthcare executive MBA. Neil is also one of our Clinical Care Home Leads, Long Term Conditions Leads, QoF Leads and Health & Safety Leads too. Dr Rachel Shaw GMC Number 7285150 – Female MA (Cantab) BMBS DFSRH MRCGP Rachel originally studied English Literature at Cambridge University then worked in a management role within the NHS before deciding to study medicine. She trained at Nottingham University and later entered the Nottingham GP vocational training scheme, joining East Leake Medical Group on completion in 2018. Rachel’s areas of interest include healthcare of older people, palliative medicine and women’s health. She is also one of our Clinical Child & Adult Safeguarding Leads. She lives in Nottingham with her husband and two young children. Dr Stephen Shortt GMC Number 3189283 – Male B Med Sci, BM, BS, MRCGP, DRCOG. Nottingham 1986. As well as being a partner at Village Health Group, Stephen has helped patients all throughout the Rushcliffe area for over 30 years. He was presented with a special recognition award by CRA in December 2020 for his outstanding work within Primary Care to help put patients first. He is also the Clinical Lead for Complaints and Commissioning. Stephen is married to a local GP and has two children. Dr Neil Shroff GMC Number 4214568 – Male Bsc MBBS AFRCSEd MRCGP Neil joined Keyworth in May 2005 as a GP locum, he progressed to assistantship and then partnership in April 2007. He qualified in 1995 at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School. Specialising in plastic surgery and Clinical Dermatology, he worked in several hospitals around the UK. Also, he has helped pioneer the skin cancer surgery service for local practices. Neil sits on national committees for Dermatology, focusing on primary care Dermatology Education and Skin Cancer. Dr Asifa Akhtar GMC Number 6103668 – Female MB ChB 2004 Leicester Warwick Medical School. Asifa joined the practice in October 2011 after completing the Nottingham Vocational Training scheme. She qualified from Leicester Warwick Medical School in 2004. She has a background in pharmacy and enjoys teaching. Dr Akhtar is a Clinical Lead in Dispensary and Prescribing as well as Research. Asifa is also married to a local GP. Dr Suzanne Sivanandan GMC Number 7088439 – Female MA (cantab) MBBS AICSM DFSRH MRCGP Suzanne studied pre-clinical medicine at Cambridge University and then studied clinical medicine at Imperial College London, completing her training in 2010. She spent her first two years as a Doctor working in the North West then moved back to London to complete her GP vocational training at King’s College Hospital, finishing in August 2015. Whilst completing her GP vocational training she completed a diploma in sexual and reproductive health, completed a postgraduate course in Diabetes and became a forensic medical examiner for cases of sexual assault. She joined the practice in August 2015 and is now a Clinical Lead for the PPG. Her husband is a clinical oncology consultant in Nottingham, they have two children together. Dr Louise Glasgow GMC Number 4432030 – Female BA BM BCh Oxon MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH MRCPCH. Louise qualified in Oxford in 1997 and initially trained in Paediatrics in Nottingham before moving into General Practice. She has a special interest in paediatrics, child health and dermatology. She moved from a partnership in north Nottingham to come to Keyworth in July 2011. Louise is also one of our Clinical Child & Adult Safeguarding Leads. She is married with 3 teenage boys and a dog. Dr Gurvinder Sahota GMC Number 7038954 – Male MB ChB 2009 University of Birmingham. Gurvinder joined the practice in August 2015 after having completed his General Practice speciality training in Nottingham. He qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2009 and initially trained in surgery before moving into General Practice. He currently works between Keyworth and the University of Nottingham Medical School, where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor. He has a keen interest in undergraduate teaching, research and medical ethics. Dr Sahota is our Clinical Caldicott Lead, Information Governance Lead & INR Star Lead. Dr Oliver Puar GMC Number 7411479 – Male MB BS 2013 Kings College London. Dr Puar is one of our male Partners who joined Village Health Group in late 2019, since that time he has helped many patients within the Rushcliffe area. Dr Sukhveer Sandhu GMC Number 7038818 – Male Dr Jill Langridge GMC Number 3344231 – Female BM BS 1989 University of Nottingham, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP. Jill qualified from Nottingham University in 1989 and joined the Keyworth GP practice in 1995 having completed the Nottingham GP Vocational Training Scheme. Her interests include women’s health and care of older people. She is also a clinical advisor for the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group Clinical Design Authority. Jill is also a Clinical Lead for CQC and QoF. She is married to a local GP and has two children. She was a partner at VHG until March 2022 before stepping down and now still works with the team holding Gynae clinics.
